Mrs. Diaz
Greetings to the Wonderous World of Learning Do all students want to learn? Yes! Do students want to behave? Yes! Can all students learn to be successful in this world? Absolutely! The key is teamwork. The school, the parents and the community will find success when working together. Does success happen over night? Sometimes, not usually...it takes time, patience and a sense of humor. What do I do if the student is having a hard time with their work? In our class, when the students are frustrated.... we put on music, we sing the answers, clap to the math facts and play instruments. This is the Resource Specialist Program. Students have class and small group support for reading, writing and math. Mrs. Garcia is the half day paraeducator. She has been working as a paraeducator for 10 years. She brings a lot of experience to our program. She lived in Norwalk for almost 20 years and now lives in LaMirada. Mrs. Diaz is the teacher. I have been working in this district since 1974. I took 2 years off to go to Nepal as a Peace Corps Volunteer. I lived in LaMirada until I was 28 years old. I atttended Foster Road Elementary, Benton Junior High, John Glenn High School, Cerritos College, Arizona State Univeristy and Cal State Los Angeles. We will be providing information to assist in our teamwork goals of student success.
